2024 RHOYAL COTILLION - MASQUERADE EDITION

The Beta Omicron Sigma Chapter's Rhoyal Cotillion Program is specifically designed for young ladies currently in grades 10 through 12. This program provides each participant with a unique opportunity to develop and cultivate enriching experiences in education, social interaction, culture, and civic engagement.  We have thoughtfully crafted a dynamic selection of events, workshops, and activities to enrich your experience and create lasting memories.

The Beta Omicron Sigma Rhoyal Cotillion Program

The Rhoyal Cotillion Program will encourage great self-esteem and morality in young Black women.  It is designed to teach sisterhood, community service, love, ballroom dance, partnership, mentorship, vocabulary, inner and outer beauty, and so much more.  It will promote bonding and friendship and provide young women with an opportunity to socialize.  The Rhoyal Cotillion is a demonstration of the principles of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority Inc. -- Sisterhood, Scholarship and Service.  In a world that attempts to tear down women, especially Black women, and invalidate and devalue their accomplishments, events like a Cotillion aim to empower each generation.l

Our Rhoyal Cotillion Program consists of two competitions:  Miss Rosette and Miss Tea Rose.

The "Miss Rosette" competition is for contestants that are not relatives of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority members and the "Miss Tea Rose" competition is for contestants that are relatives of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority members including daughters, sisters, granddaughters, nieces, cousins, etc.

Both competitions are fundraising activities for scholarship funds for the educational benefit of each contestant.  Each contestant contributes to this initiative by securing ads and patrons for the 2024 Rhoyal Cotillion Souvenir Journal, and/or through approved individual fundraising.

This journal is more than just a collection of pages; it’s a lasting tribute to the dedication and hard work of our participants, and a platform for the businesses and individuals who support them. By securing ad purchases from individuals or businesses, you are not only enhancing the essence of our event but also building strong community connections. Together, let's make this booklet a cherished keepsake and a testament to our collective effort and spirit.

Contestants are required to raise a minimum of $1500.00 through ads and patrons and, sell a minimum of two (2) Cotillion Ball tickets. A preliminary financial report of at least $750.00 must be submitted no later than September 14, 2024. The final financial report, including all money, ads, and patrons, is due by October 22, 2024.

It is our genuine pleasure to welcome all participants in the 2024 Rhoyal Cotillion Program.
